David Ward kommer från England. Han är en lärare, terapeut och guide, som idag lever i Finland med sin finländska hustru Laura och deras två barn Joel och Emma.
Mellan 1983 och 1988 utbildade han sig i psykosyntes och transpersonell psykologi vid Psychosynthesis and Education Trust och vid Centre for Transpersonal Psychology i London.
David har studerat och arbetat med många andliga traditioner. Han deltog i programmet Science of Creative Intelligence inom rörelsen Transcendental Meditation.
Han har ägnat mycket av sitt liv till att forska i nya inlärningsmodeller och har föreläst i vida kretsar om holistisk inlärning, stresshantering, kommunikationsfärdigheter, organisationsförändring och många aspekter av personlig och andlig utveckling.
Under en stor del av sitt liv har David varit en professionell sångare. Han grundade Gateway School i London, som inriktar sig på utbildning av ljudtekniker och skivproducenter, samt på utforskning av nya inlärningsmetoder.
David hade äran att bli Fellow of Kingston University. Han hade också äran att 1994 bli utnämnd till Visiting Professor of Music Technology vid Sibeliusakademin.
I Finland har David tillsammans med Erkki Lehtiranta grundat Eheyden Instittuuti. Med Erkki har han hållit många workshoppar angående musik, ljud och andlighet, kreativitet och utvecklandet av hjärtenergier. David har organiserat workshoppar med tidskrifterna Voi Hyvin och Minä Olen, samt regelbundet bidragit med artiklar till dem båda. Han har också organiserat workshoppar med Frantsila, Via Akatemia och bokhandeln Era Nova.
David är mycket mån om att allt det här arbetet skall bli tillgängligt för unga människor och för personer med unga familjer.
